Whoa!!!

I can not believe it's been since November that I posted ANYthing. Shame on me. :) We just got back from our first trip to Philadelphia. Zachary had a gymnastic's competition at Temple University on Friday night, and we spent the rest of the weekend doing some sight-seeing. Our first visit was the U.S. Mint - just a block from our hotel. Unfortunately no photographs are allowed. :( Here is a pic of Zachary at his competition:

On Saturday we spent the day visiting Philly's Franklin Institute and the Academy of Natural Sciences (both of which were FREE to us since we have a membership at a science center in Baltimore!)

The boys enjoyed this exhibit where they were able to see different medical techniques medicines throughout time.

Here is Zachary standing in front of the huge statue of Ben Franklin

One of Brian's co-workers told us where to get a good Philly cheese steak. We brought them back to our hotel. They were so yummy. The key was the Cheez-Whiz...YES, Cheez Whiz!!

On Sunday we kept it history themed and visited Independence Hall. So much of our country's history can be traced back to this location. Wow!
